You can use other yarns. Follow the hook-size recommendation on your yarn label and consider sizing down 1–2 hook sizes. Different yarns and hooks will change the finished size and texture.

This pattern also uses magic rings and I-cord.

How to Make I-Cord

Start by making a knot in the middle of a strand of yarn about 4–5 times the length of the cord you want to make.

Keep one yarn strand in front and one in back. Loop the front yarn over the hook from front to back, then use the back yarn to yarn over and pull through the two loops on the hook. Repeat to build the cord.

How to Attach the Eyes

  1. Place the eyes in the head where you want them.
  2. Remove the eye and squeeze a small amount of hot glue into the spot.
  3. Put the eye back in place, press, and secure.

How to Add the Nose

  1. Insert the needle into the snout area as shown in your tutorial photo.
  2. Repeat 1–2 times.
  3. Trim the yarn close to the nose.
